Where it all began

Chalker Pty Ltd is a family business, was officially registered in 2003 and became a Pty Ltd Company in 2007. The company is owned and operated by Jeff and Sharon Chalker from the Blue Mountains in NSW. Our passion for RS Cosworth's began, not unlike many of our customers from the Touring Car glory days when Ford dominated racing both in the UK Australia and Europe.

 After nearly 10 years of Cosworth ownership ourselves, it became increasingly apparent that there was no main stream RS Cosworth dealer in Australia. The sourcing of parts from the UK, including the correct parts was at best, frustrating, time consuming and expensive. Poor telephone response, non arrival , poor quality of parts both new and second hand, expensive freight charges and incorrect customs duties, often led to owners selling their vehicles for locally made or higher volume imported vehicles.

In 2010, Chalker Cosworth was sold to Gordon Douglas. The business has since been relocated to Albury NSW and is now a division of The RS Shop P.L. specializing in all RS Fords from Mk1 Escort to Mk2 Focus with an ever growing inventory of cars, parts and suppliers.

 What we do

Chalker approached major RS Cosworth manufacturers, suppliers and distributors in the UK to become agents for their products. Today Chalker is proud to have forged strong relationships with Ford UK, Ford Motorsport, Cosworth Engineering, Burton Power and Magneti Marrelli to name but a few.

 We are the sole Australian Ford RS Cosworth stockists and distributors of  products from  suppliers of KONI, Bilstein, AP Racing, Eibach, ACL Race series , EBC, Superflex, Powerflex, Recaro and Bailey Motorsport and together with smaller and more specialist firms, Chalker aims to provide the most complete supply of parts for RS Cosworth Owners and enthusiasts in Australia

From Europe to Australasia

Chalker supplies parts to over 50 Cosworth Owners and workshops across all corners of the country and increasingly to New Zealand. Parts are supplied from stock or ordered directly from the UK. Delivery times are dependent upon the customers needs and requirements. For "vehicle off road situations" we can have parts expedited from the UK to Australia within 3-5 days or by more economical means for those not so urgent repairs or parts requirements.

Parts

We have a direct link with Ford UK and use Microcat ™ for parts identification and online query and ordering systems. We can therefore ensure the part you require are the parts you get. We can determine if the part is still serviced or if no longer available. We have extensive dealer search facilities that can identify items that  may still be dealer shelf stock located all over the UK including Europe

Vehicle Compliancing

Chalker is experienced in the compliance of Ford Sierra RS Cosworth's including 3 door, RS500, Sapphire 2wd and shortly Sapphire 4wd expected early December 2004. This allows the owner to meet State and  Australian Department of Transport Australian Design Rule requirements for importation approval and registration. This involves compliance in areas including side intrusion impact protection, unleaded fuel conversion and the meeting of statutory emission standards

Vehicle Servicing and Technical Support

Having  years of experience dealing  with the diagnostics associated with RS Cosworth's. We can provide technical assistance and advice to both owners and workshops looking after our customers cars interstate. Fault diagnosis, Workshop manuals, service schedules and log book services are all part of this service.

Vehicle Evaluations

Thinking of buying an RS Cosworth and not too sure if its a genuine car or concerned about its condition. We provide comprehensive identity checks, verification of genuine RS Cosworth models and evaluations on the vehicles condition both good and bad including expected repairs required and estimated prices for those repairs. Chalker are also happy to submit valuations for insurance companies.

Insurance repairs and restoration

With our extensive parts access, we are able to undertake insurance work to bring your Cosworth back to new should an unlikely accident occur. We complete regular repairs and windscreen replacements in conjunction with Specialist insurance companies and recommend Shannons insurance to all of our customers
